Who is responsible

The controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

Philipp Reimann
In der Stöck 22

Germany
Email: info@farusone.com

In short

  • This website has no user accounts, no contact form, no newsletter and no advertising.
  • It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device.
  • It uses no tracking or analytics tools.
  • It loads no fonts, scripts or other content from third parties. Every file comes from our own server.

Some personal data is still processed when you visit the website or email us. The sections below explain what, why and for how long.

Hosting

The website runs on our own web server (nginx). The server is operated for us by a hosting provider based in Germany and stands in a data centre in Germany, inside the European Union.

We have a data processing agreement with the provider under Art. 28 GDPR. The provider may process data only on our instructions and only to run the server.

Connections to the website are encrypted (HTTPS).

Server log files

When you open a page, your browser sends your IP address to our server. Without it the server cannot deliver the page.

For every request our web server writes one line into an access log: the time, the requested address, the status code, the amount of data sent and the identifier of your browser (user agent). The IP address is shortened before it is written: for IPv4 the last number is removed, for IPv6 only the first 48 bits are kept. We do not log the page you came from.

If a technical error occurs, the full IP address can appear in the error log of the web server.

We delete both logs after 14 days.

Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is delivering the website securely and reliably and defending it against attacks.

Name resolution

The address farusone.com is resolved through the DNS service of Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). Cloudflare only answers which server address belongs to farusone.com. The pages themselves do not pass through Cloudflare.

In most cases Cloudflare only sees the address of the DNS resolver of your internet provider, not your own IP address.

Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Where data reaches the USA, the transfer relies on the EU adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR) as far as the provider is certified under it, otherwise on the EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR).

Contact by email

If you email us at info@farusone.com, we process your email address, your message and the technical data that comes with an email (for example the time it was sent) in order to answer you.

Emails are received and stored by our email hosting provider, which processes them on our behalf.

Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (our interest in answering your request) or, if your request concerns a contract with us or steps before one, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

We delete your email once your request is settled, unless we are legally required to keep it for longer.

Cookies and storage on your device

This website sets no cookies and does not read or store anything on your device. It works without JavaScript.

Recipients

Personal data from this website goes only to the service providers named above: the hosting provider, Cloudflare for name resolution and our email hosting provider. We do not sell personal data and do not share it for advertising.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
  • have incorrect data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR),
  • have your data deleted (Art. 17 GDPR),
  • restrict the processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
  • receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20 GDPR),
  • object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR for reasons arising from your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).

To use these rights, email us at info@farusone.com.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the authority where you live.

Is providing data required?

Without your IP address the website cannot be delivered to you. Emailing us is voluntary. We do not use automated decision making or profiling.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the website or the way it processes data changes. The version date at the top shows the current version.
